Very stoked to have realized that one of my photos made it onto The New York Times Lens Blog for an article on extreme front lawns from last month! I submitted a photo that is dear to my heart; on a firefighter/neighbor of mine who every year, puts out 343 flags to honor his fallen brothers. I’ve watched this happen every year since I was a little kid and I’m beyond happy that this photo was selected

Still my greatest achievement. Not because of where it was published, but I was able to show the love, dedication this firefighter has for his fallen brothers, and that his efforts year after year do not go unnoticed. Every year since 2002, not one skipped. I’m proud to have been raised around and call people like Philip Miller neighbor. If you’re in the Nassau County area, you should visit his home, its currently up and will remain that way for the next few days.
